my new droid x loads docking station and car home screen-I dont even own a docking station!?

Just bought a brand new Droid X for verizon, had it for 2 days…when im not using it, i press the top standby button to save battery and turn off the display of course. Well ive noticed when I do that SOMETIMES it loads the Docking Station screen as if I placed it in the docking station accessory, which I dont even own,,,and other times the Car home? screen will load too…I have a pouch case for it as well which has metal in it that the top closes over and magnetizes together…Could the metal be triggering my fone when I lay it on that? Is there anyway to turn this off to not do this?
