Motorola Accessories Phones
I’m getting the motorola droid tomorrow anything i need to know?
any must have apps? or Accessories? also anything in general i should know about the phone to get the most out of it
Make sure to put the power control widget on one of your home screens (long click on an empty space >> widgets >> power control) the battery can go fairly quickly and these quick options help lower it. Keep your brightness at the lowest you can, I usually have mine all the way down unless its sunny out and I can see just fine. Remember to hit the screen lock button to put it on standby when not using it to keep the battery going too.
If you shop a lot get shopsavvy, scan barcodes and look up the prices online and retail stores (Best Buy will much the price of retail stores btw)
Also Pandora (music streaming radio) this used to come installed on the phone but doesnt seem to recently.
Visual Voicemail KM is great too if you dont want to have to call into your voicemail.
Shazam is awesome for figuring out what the song playing on the radio is
Ringdroid will let you cut clips from your favorite songs on your phone and Ringo Lite will let you set them as ringtones and notifications
Solitaire is good for passing the time as well as Paper Toss.
Ebuddy is great if you do instant messaging (including facebook chat)
Oh and either i Music or Music Junk can be used to search for and download songs (not sure how legal it is but it works and I don’t know anyone thats had problems.
The Motorola Droid is awesome and super customizable, you’ll love it!
