What is a good dock that can be used to connect an ipod to a stereo reciever?

I currently have the monster accessory that connects the headphone jack to the receiver, but I am not satisfied with the sound quality. I know that a dock would produce better sound, but I just don’t know where to find one. A reasonably priced one is preferable.

The cheapest alternative is to use a cable that connects from the dock connector plug (that weirdly shaped plug on the bottom of your iPod) to the RCA input jacks on your receiver. Using the headphone jack runs the sound through the internal amplifier and equalizer … works okay with headphones, but sounds muddy and distorted on a stereo. Using the dock connector plug bypasses the amp and equalizer, which results in considerably higher-quality sound.

The cable is made by Cables to Go and is available for US $13-16 at the Cables to Go website(http://www.cablestogo.com/product.asp?cat_id=3901&sku=35507), Amazon, TigerDirect and many other electronic retailers. The cable does not work with the iPod Touch or iPhone, and it does not recharge the iPod. But it is an inexpensive to get good quality iPod sound through your stereo.
