I was wondering if i buy this can i rebuild it at a local shop and legalize? Is it allowed? Supars are sold in the states also. If i legalize it will it be a kit car(custom car)? And how will i legalize a car i bought like this thats from japan?
You can get it legal but it will take ALOT of work and money.. As the previous answer stated Ca is the most difficuly as you will have to have it safety inspected by Toyota as well as the DMV.. Also im not sure it will even pass emissions as alot of the specs for Japanese made cars in Japan wont meet standards.
Lastly you will have to do some major reinforcements to the frame, driveline as Im assuming you wont keep this car stock.. personally it would be easier/cheaper to find a complete high mileage Skyline from Japan or Even a high Mileage Supra here in the states and jsut swap out the motor..
