Ics Accessories Airsoft
Are airsoft accessories compatible across makes, models, manufacturers, etc?
Specifically, I am getting a Well R5 MP5A5, and I want to know if I can just get any old RIS kit, any old flash suppressor, forward grip, etc., and would they work? I have seen that some product descriptions say mp5 compatible rail system for ICS for example, but would that work, or is it specific to ICS? I would assume things like this would be semi-standard across manufacturers, since the guns they are designing accessories for are the same, but then again, that’d just be me.
I’m new to airsoft, and I’m not really finding it easy to see from sellers whether or not this is indeed the case, or whether it will work, but not as well, or what. If anyone can help, I’d be grateful. Thanks.

So most accessories will be compatible, for example an ICS forward grip, even though the accessory manufacturer is different from the accessorized manufacturer?
Hi, yes as mentioned previously most MP5 RIS will work between manufacturers – since you are considering a Well brand from Airsplat, I would highly recommend this as a substitute

so that is a good deal for $135 from ASGI, free shipping over $100, and you get a JG which I would prefer over the Well brand since JG has better QA as they leave the factory (well brand is known for random issues like o-ring / compression etc).

So you get a full metal MP5 w/ RIS already installed, and ASM has free shipping over $150 so throw in some BBs or whatever it is well worth it to avoid their bloated shipping (in fact I would not even consider a purchase under $150 because of their shipping rates). Some complain about ASM, reasons unknown, I know several people who have ordered from them and have not had any problem. I would order from ASM over Airsplat due to that fact.
