Do you think it’s unfair that girls can wear accessories on their hair for school but boys can’t..?
wear caps/beanies.
Just got back from taking my daughter to school. Some little boy’s mom was complaining because her kiddo had to take off his skully (similar to a beanie) My daughter was wearing a flower headband and walked right by the school employee and the kids mom, the mom said “well, why can that little girl wear something on her head and my son can’t?” The school employee, said idk, those are the rules.
I agree rules are rules but doesn’t it seem a little unfair?
Unfair. Either the girls where no head bands or the boys can wear beanies if they want to. That is in a perfect world.
This does create a problem when students use the head wear as a place to show affiliation to a gang or a status symbol. I see a lot of this with students. Fashion and the clothes you wear places you in a ranking among other students. Students who have a tight grip on what is a very strong popularity struggle and have great opinions over others their age. This has lead to many bully-ed students committing suicide in the last year across the country. School uniforms would solve many of these problems.
