I got an Ipod Nano Case but I don’t want to damage it. Please help?

It’s called Griffin Elan Form for iPod nano.
When I got it, there is a little plastic on the screen but it’s moving out of place. It’s pretty annoying when I turn on my ipod because some of it is pelling off. Should I peel off the plastic cause I dont want to get the metal plastic on the case to be scratched so much i cant see it. Thx
Oh, then the sticky stuff is dry, if u go to a walmart they sell thoes things in like packs of 3 for 5 bucks.
