Headband Trends Today – for “headbands”
Every girl has a head band stashed some where in her closet. And this is for good reason. Most girls use head bands to keep their hair looking neat and tidy, especially during bad hair days when their locks can not be tamed. However, the fashion world now seems to look at head bands as something more than just an accessory to tame unruly coifs. In fact, head bands have been recently seen in a lot of cat walks and even on celebrities. Plus, head bands are now making a come back in formal wear. So how do celebrities and models wear their head bands?
Well, the current trend today is actually wearing an elastic headband across the fore head instead of on top of your hair. This gives off a look that is both polished and funky. Usually, celebrities wear elastic head bands in metallic colors when donning this style. These work well with frilly frocks and other Bohemian inspired garbs. An elastic headband is more comfortable than a traditional headband so it is easy to wear one for hours and hours.
Another trend that seems to be hitting big during red carpet events and proms is the Grecian Goddess inspired chain head band. Obviously, these headbands work well with dresses that come in goddess cuts. These are usually flowy dresses in one bold color and an off shoulder neck line. Headbands that match these types of dresses are usually chain headbands that come in metallic finishes like silver and gold but some women wear a simple chain black headband.
Another trend is adding a splash of color to an otherwise neutral outfit by putting on rubber headbands in candy colors. These bright little head accessories are usually softer than the usual head band and come in an array of different colors. The nice thing about rubber head bands is that they look youthful and fun, without looking too childish. They still give the wearer a polished look, but add a certain sense of whimsy to the outfit. Most ladies would wear these rubberized hair accessories with a simple plain t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers in a color that contrasts their head band.
So the next time you see a head band, try to think out of the box and discover the many ways you can wear one in style. Remember, all it takes is a little imagination and some fashion know how; and you are bound to get rave reviews for your hair accessory.
