Accessory Mode in Ford Truck?

Why won’t my Ford Truck (F-350 Diesel) let me turn the key back to accessory mode in the ignition. It only lets me turn it forward to “on”
nope, steering wheel moves around fine while in “on” position

Is your steering wheel locked? It seems obvious and I’m sorry if it sounds condescending, but I’ve done it a few times. Try turning the wheel a little in either direction while you try to turn the key back to “ACC” and see if it helps. You could even have a problem with the steering/ignition lock, from the sound of things.
