Rental Car Companies Increase the Value of Their Fleet with Auto Accessories

Rental car companies are known for having well-kept, smooth-running vehicles that often are used for driving long distances. However, rental car companies also realize the value of maintaining their vehicles so that repair costs are kept to a minimum. These companies do so by investing in a cache of auto accessories that extend the life of a car or truck while still maintaining a high level of visual appeal.

One accessory that you will find on many newer car models is a GPS tracking device. This is a particularly important feature for car rental companies as many of their cars are rented by drivers who are unfamiliar with the particular area in which they are driving. A GPS tracking device will ensure that customers don’t get lost while traveling and this gives the rental company added peace of mind in knowing that there is less of a chance that something will happen to their vehicle while being rented.

Bumper guards also serve to protect the rental car as accidents can happen to anyone. A bumper guard lessens the chances that a simple bump from another vehicle will cause major damage to the rented vehicle. Moreover, this eases the insurance burden for the rental company as most insurance companies will give you a better rate for having bumper guards on your vehicle.

Seat covers are another sound investment by a rental car company. Because cars are rented by different types of people all the time, it’s hard to gauge whether or not the car’s interior is being cared for as it should be. A seat cover will take away the question and provide protection and comfort to the largest part of the interior upholstery. They can be purchased in neutral colors to blend in with the car’s interior, making them almost unnoticeable.

There are a number of other vehicle accessories that rental car companies can invest in to ensure that the car remains in top condition. What’s more, these small additions don’t require a great deal of overhead on the part of the company, so they can be integrated into the company’s entire fleet of vehicles. Improvements in rental car vehicles will only add to the value of the fleet, thereby increasing profits for the company as a whole.
