Bathroom Accessories Set
Moving into my first solo apartment and I need cheap “starter” sets!?
Alright, here’s the skinny. I’ve always lived with roommates – be it friends or past lovers. This Friday I am moving into my own apartment (excited!) but I just did a tally of what I have and I’m coming up short. I have furniture and pots and pans and good stuff like that.
What I’m looking for would be any suggestions on things like…bathroom-in-a-bag and kitchen-accessories-in-a-bag typed things. I’m a cheapskate and I want to avoid spending more than $100 for these items.
I’m primarily looking for things like dishes (cups, plates, silverware) and maybe a bathroom towel/rug set. I’ve browsed online at Ikea and walmart and all that good stuff but I wanted to know if anyone had any different suggestions. Thanks in advance!
When I moved into the apartment i am currently in, I HAD THE CLOTHES ON MY BACK and a computer, tv, towels, 4 glasses and cleaning supplies…. (lol) I am new to the city and was driving around with a friend one day and we saw some people carrying a couch out and I asked if I could have it and they said yes, so i took it home and cleaned it.. went to Wal-Mart bought some cheap $2 a yard fabric (8 yards), gold thumb tacks, different color $1 a yard fabric (4 yards), a needle and some thread and I covered my couch and it is beautiful.. i also find stuff that people are throwing away very useful.. i found an ugly colored rug once washed it and sewed some fabric on top and have a brand new rug… baskets are great decorations.. everything you got or find can be used as some kind of decoration.. i watch a lot of HGTV so i get plenty of ideas from them.. and also garage sales (seasons commin up), thrift stores, auctions, or just garbage (stuff left in other ppls apt when they move) etc are great places to find stuff.. and your imaginations is the best place of all.. Have fun and do something different that no body else got or done before….. u will be amazed,and might pick up a new habit…
