help with guitar accessories?
what are those things called, that people use to play guitar in a different key.. they look like a clip that they put on a fret of their guitar neck?
It’s called a capo. I’d recommend either a Kyser Quick-Change capo at around $15, or a Shubb capo at around $20 over paying $5 or $6 for one of those ones that strap on with an elastic strap. The clamp on ones can be put on and removed with one hand, they clamp down tightly on the strings so you don’t get any buzzing of the strings against the frets, and they are easier to get on without bending any of the strings out of tune. Definitely worth a few extra dollars in my opinion. They Kyser Quick Change that I have works great. I’ve heard others recommend the Shubb but I’m not sure that’s worth the extra money if you’re a novice player.
